As a second-generation home builder, Russ was introduced to the home building industry and custom home business at a very young age, completing his first new home build at age 16. Always dreaming of life in Colorado, after graduating from the University of Kansas, with a degree in Business Administration, Russ moved to Colorado Springs and began fulfilling his passion for home building.
Since its founding in 1982, Acuff Homes has been building custom and semi-custom homes throughout the Colorado Springs area. With more than 41 years of experience in construction and forward planning for real estate development, from building single family homes, to building entirely new communities, Russ’s reputation for quality and excellence is unparalleled.
The combination of his experience and knowledge makes Russ one of the most successful master builders in Colorado Springs. Having successfully developed, managed and built over 1,500 single family residences, your custom home is in expert hands.
Carrie Tamura-Acuff

A Colorado native, Carrie has had a passion for design from a very early age, always rearranging her bedroom, looking through design magazines, dreaming of one day becoming a designer. Carrie’s creative and innovative eye for design has led her to a lifetime career focused on allowing her creativity to be put into every project she takes part in.
Working closely with clients, forming a partnership to create a home that reflects their individual lifestyle, Carrie will assist with floor plan concepts and designs, along with interior and exterior color and materials selections.
Carrie’s client and project resume’ includes new construction of both multi-million-dollar custom homes and semi-custom homes as well as major home renovations. Her ability to work within all price ranges and budgets makes her an important and vital resource to clients as they watch their ideas come to fruition.
